Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a comprehensive medical system with a history in China of over 4000 years. TCM holds that health primarily depends on the smooth flow of our vital energy called Qi, pronounced 'Chee', and on the harmony of opposing forces known as Yin and Yang. These factors are all interlinked and, when in unison, maintain your spiritual, emotional, mental and physical balance.
For this reason TCM observes the body holistically, consisting of different internal organs which must work together as a whole in order to maintain the smooth flow of Qi and the correct balance between Yin and Yang.
When imbalance occurs, each organ produces a different pattern of symptoms. An in-depth history of your current symptoms and other aspects of your lifestyle will reveal where the underlying disharmony exists. TCM aims to restore balance by treating the root cause of the disharmony as well as the manifesting symptoms, returning harmony to your body and restoring health.
